The Calcasieu Soil & Water Conservation District is a political subdivision of the State of Louisiana. The district consists of Beauregard and Vernon Parishes, whose land area totals 1,611,930 acres.
The district was organized May 12, 1939 under the Louisiana Conservation Act No. 370 of 1938.
The district is governed by a volunteer Board of Supervisors, which at present includes: Venton Coburn, George Dauzat, Beaver Knighton, Winfred Moses, and Marcus Sanders. Venton Coburn serves as the Chairperson.
