Configuring the Internet Setup Wizard


1. You should now have a window on your screen that says "Welcome to Internet Setup!". Click the "Next" button.

2. Here you will choose "I already have an account with a different service provider." Click "Next."

3. Now you will be asked for the name of your current Internet Service Provider. Type "Library" or something similar in this blank. Click "Next."

4. On this screen, you will enter the library's modem number 4629420

There should not be a check in the box next to "Bring up terminal windows after dialing." Click "Next."

5. Now enter your username and password. In most cases, library user names are all in lower case. Passwords should be typed exactly as they are shown on the label you were assigned. Click "Next."

6. In the "IP Address" window you should choose "My Internet Service Provider automatically assigns me one." Click "Next."

7. For the DNS server addresses, input the following:

8. Place a check by "Use Internet Mail" and enter these settings:
  • Your email address: username@beau.lib.la.us (Of course you will replace "username" with your username.)
  • Internet mail server: mail.beau.lib.la.us
9. On the "Exchange Profile" screen, leave the default settings and click "Next."

10. Now click "Finish"
