Using POP3 E-Mail

The easiest way to handle E-Mail under Windows is to use a POP3 Mail Client (such as Eudora, or Pegasus Mail for Windows). In order to configure your POP3 Mail CLient you will need the following information:
POP3 Server   : mail.beau.lib.la.us  
SMTP Server   : mail.beau.lib.la.us 
Account Name  : your login name 
Password      : your password
E-Mail Address: <account>@beau.lib.la.us  
Domain Suffix : beau.lib.la.us   

Using Pine In A Telnet Session

From the terminals or staff computers inside the library, select "E-Mail and Internet" from the menu.

From the computers inside the library, select "Odin - Library Mail Server" from the Bookmarks in Netscape

From off-site computers, you can use a Windows based mail client (see "POP3" instructions above) or you can telnet to odin.beau.lib.la.us and use these instructions
