Beauregard Parish
Museum
serves to preserve & celebrate the history
of this area.
Housed with the Beauregard Parish Museum is the delightful
Lois Loftin Doll Museum
featuring over 3,000 antique and collector's dolls.
Site of an 18th Centry Coushatta Indian village, Merryville lies
along the old Sabine Trace that connected the Spanish colonial
provinces of Texas and Louisiana. The
displays artifacts from village to homesteading through the
Civil War and more recent history.
