Mel & Stormie start 2002 with the KR Hanchy March Maddness. As they do
every year they line up with the others who are there for the public
to enjoy.

Mel has visitors. Pictured here from the DeRidder Police Department is

Two more visitors enjoy the laptops on Mel. Here in front, sits
Jeff West with Acadian Ambulance, behind him sits Tony Dobson with the
DeRidder Fire Department.

Mel travels to Boise for their Safety Day Fair. Here little Alex
takes time to stop in and check his e-mail on Mel's laptops.

Fire Fighter Tony Dobson's son enjoys the laptops also.

Also at that event this day was Fort Polks MedVac
Chopper and many Fire Departments from the parish.

Todd Harter one of the many corditnators for the Boise Safety Day
comes on Mel to see what all the excitment is about. Stormie would like
to thank Boise for inviting the Libraries Mobile Unit.

Mel & Stormie are off to Dry Creek Baptist Camp for another summer
of fun.
Their first camp starts off with the girls GA Camp.
Is that Mr. Skipper in the back, I think he was so excited about summer
camp starting that he forgot he has to wait for the boys RA Camp
next week.

& Julian who work on Mel take

Mel takes off and travels to Merryville for a visit to the Merryville
Fire Department. Here Firefighter Wanda Walker is using Ranch House on
one of the laptops (a firefighting software from FEMA).

Mel travels to Planer Mill Fire Department. Where the firefighters are
training on software from FEMA, here Chuck Foreman and Greg Nugent are
learning to extinguish a structure fire.

Fire Chief Mel Stengel helps Susie Wallace with dispatching the proper
people to their location. Susie passed away 12/24/02, she will be
deeply missed. | 
Mel travels back to the Beauregard Parish Fair of 2002.
He is greeted with some familiar faces.
Courtney Hebert , Mike Barrett, John Morris, & Roger Sterling have
all come to enjoy the fun of the Internet on Mel.
