Last week we featured the book How to Amaze Your Daughter with activities for parents to do with their children to help foster creativity and appreciation for ordinary objects. These recipes, crafts and experiments were designed with girls in mind and focused on interests typically associated with them. While all children should be able to find activities to enjoy in that book, this week we received the companion book, How to Amaze Your Son: Crafts, Recipes and Other Creative Experiences to Teach Him to See the Extraordinary in the Ordinary. This book, also by Raphaele Vidaling, is geared more towards traditional “boy” interests. It contains the same type of activities that encourage children and parents to explore their environments and use everyday objects in new ways to create fun experiences together. Between these two books, everyone should be able to have hours of fun learning and creating.
