The Shepherd's Crown by Terry Pratchett
In this last book from Terry Pratchett who died in March of this year, we meet again young witch Tiffany Aching, who has been the star of her own series within Terry’s greater Discworld series. Tiffany takes up the role of Hag of Hags, and she leads the witches on a fight against elves who want to invade their world one more time.
There are a few themes in this book, and much of it is about dealing with grief and loss. Another theme is how the world changes. As a fan of Terry’s, this is what it feels like a fitting send off to a prolific author who put much humor and social commentary into his books. You’ll laugh, feel and think about it all at the same time.
This book would be a good read for people who are already a fan of Pratchett and other writers with quirky British humor such as Douglas Adams or Neil Gaim
If this book interests you, feel free to request and check it out. You can also find other books in Terry Pratchett's Discworld series if you want to read more. We'll be back next Wednesday with a different Staff Pick.
