The library has many cookbooks with all types of recipes for all types of cooks. This week we received a cookbook that is designed for those who have to prepare meals for a family whose members have different tastes. Dinner Solved: 100 Ingenious Recipes That Make the Whole Family Happy, Including You by Katie Workman is perfect for family cooks who want to make meals that everyone will eat without turning into a short-order cook. Each recipe has variations, or “forks in the road” that make it easy to take one dish and adapt it to different tastes.
The book is divided into chapters including breakfast foods, sandwiches, snacks, one-dish meals, pasta and meats. Each recipe is accompanied by a beautiful color photograph of the dish. Ranging from variations of the simple hamburger to the more exotic sausage, white bean and kale soup, there is something for every taste.
The author is a well-known food writer who established a weekly cooking newsletter and has written for many websites and publications. She also writes a bi-weekly column for The Huffington Post. Her other cookbook The Mom 100 Cookbook: 100 Recipes Every Mom Needs in her Back Pocket, is also available at the library.
So check out this new book or one of our other cookbooks and make your meals new and exciting!
